So in Europe they are going to get a Mazdaspeed 3 equivalent civic but with better brakes, suspension, looks cool, etc. In the US we get some piece of E36 M3.

Never was a honda fan and this is one of the examples as to why. They need to take a cue from Ford and unify their car lineup.

We Honda fans have been deprived of their coolest stuff for 13 years or so. The last Integra Type R was our last dose of the good stuff, so 2001.

I can see that you may find the Civic Type R cool looking of you find a Humpback Whale sexy.

It also looks different. Tired of the fact that every econobox based car or hatchback sold in the US is basically a clone of one another. It is not toyota beige at all. 318ti, Escort Cosworth, etc. We don't get that type of car here, or rarely do, anymore.

It's annoying that Honda still makes "cool" cars but none of them are sold here. Their US lineup is probably the worst of any Asian company USDM in terms of interesting rides. At least Toyota has the FRS and Lexus. It's funny that their market strategy is to sell blander cars in the US market. Accord and Civic both at least.

People posted that 1000cc turbo Beat sendoff a couple weeks ago. If they made it we wouldn't get it.

I got on facebook yesterday and complained that the US wasnt getting the Fit Hybrid (AGAIN!). So i too am disappointed in Honda!

IMO Honda set themselves up for a fall with the 06 Civic. It was 'out there' stylistically at that time to a degree that i knew they couldnt repeat in future redesigns without going too far out in left field. The 9th gen being more mainstream and boring in comparison seemed almost inevitable. I still think the 8th gen Si Sedan is a great looking car, but i have basically NO affection for the exterior of the current US market 9th gen. At least the Accord Coupe is pretty, and faster, and gets better mpg!

My S2000 disagrees, but, yes, the current model line Honda offers in the US is tragically disappointing.

Forgetting this asinine comment it's a prototype, i'm sure the graphics are not release car stuff AND it's an asian car in Japan. They are not going to sell a flat black car with engrish on it, the vtec turbo would be fun to have on it though and Honda has put logos like that on their cars. Having to type this on a car forum just pisses me off, go drive a Smart or something.

Also graphics like that used to be on Audis, Supras, etc, any 80s car it's throwback nostalgia and in vogue again.
