Well i found them and typed a reply with the link and my widi went down.
Go to ebay and search 42lb svo injector. A guy sells offvrand injectors, look for the furry white background. They are like 179.99.
42lbs at 43.5 psi i think ls motors use 58 psi.
I was hunting some injectors for a buddy and came across that guy, hes got some bigger stuff to like 60s, but couldbt find any feedback on his stuff so i passed.
You can get ls take offs off other the newer stuff, i think the lsas use 56lbs and the ls3s use 42 lbs.
If you're doing it cheap and have a truck intake the marine 8.1 injectors are drop in and are 42lbs
The ls motors use a bunch if different heights so some require adapters or messing with the rails. I think it goes truck injectors as the tallest, the ls1, then ls2, ls3 then but dont quote me on that, not 100 percent sure on ls2 vs ls3.

A nitrous plate and some voodoo in the back to get it to hook.
I cannot fathom why everyone still thinks they need a boosted LS to run 10's....you don't need that much power in a chassis that doesn't weigh 4000lbs.

Angry is an automotive engineer. Don't think I'd argue with him on this one.
Well, the thing everyone forgets about intercoolers is that the rate at which heat transfers into it and the rate that heat transfers out of it do NOT have to be the same as long as it has enough thermal mass that your intake charge temps don't go to detonation land in the 10 seconds you're actually in boost. There are a LOT of dyno queens out there that have made crazy power on tiny intercoolers because of this. Getting heat OUT matters a lot more when you actually stay in throttle for longer periods than a 1/4 mile.
Anyway, I guess if i was Opti and wanted a cheap 10 second car i'd take a C5 vette i already owned and put a really nice progressive nitrous setup and slicks on it and something to tune the clutch release and just work on dialing it in. Maybe add actual bolt ons IF necessary, but i doubt it.
In reply to Vigo:
Automatic c5 with a 200 pill of spray and 10.5 wrinkle walls should get you deep in the 10's.
Back when I was taking the destroker chevelle to the strip, there was a guy with a FC rx7 and ls1/t56 swap, with a 250hp shot of nitrous.....he never hooked well, but he was trapping just under 150mph after high 10 passes. As this was 2003-2004 however, he claimed to have roughly $3k in the entire car.
460 bottom end from a fuel injected truck, D0VE or D3VE iron heads with cleaned up exhaust ports, aluminum intake, all the carburetors you can find, and one of Ford Racing's cams to match the head. D0VE head will be more compression, but they're a bit pricier. D3VE heads get thrown away, but can still work pretty well.
In a light car, you can stick that in front of a built-up C4 (like a C6, but with less power loss) and into a Trac-Lok 9" with your choice of ratios. Around a 2200 stall converter should be plenty.
Personally, I'd toss all that into something awesome like a PV544 or whatever pre-80's garbage you have laying around.

Right. I intended that (like many of the other suggestions in this thread).
Seems like a pretty good lump to strap a nice big turbo to- 6-bolt main, oversquare design, quad-cams, hypereutectic pistons.
The platform is based on the CART/IRL engine design, and was designed to be used on GT500 vehicles.
I realize the trans options are limited, but autos are pretty common for drag racers anyway.

Seems like the 1Uz~FE would be completely capable, if you could live with the transmission options.
The saudis love big turbo landcruisers, though i highly dount any of that is...budget.

Agree and disagree. A $2K budget being the primary limit makes a turbo LS 10 sec effort a success. At $4K, it would not be a success. The budget cap really hurts the non engine support equipment choices.

Nah the vette is my street car, I drive it to work like 4 or 5 times a week. It drives nice, and is pretty comfortable. Not gonna mess that up, I dont think I could deal without a fun car to drive everyday on the street.
Plus with a drag car that I rareley drive on the street I can do fun E36 M3 with like cut everything out of it and blow it up without caring.

Let me know how they work, cause hes got 30s for like a 100 bucks that are drop in for a truck, but after killing his last motor my buddy is scared to be the guinea pig.
That guy also has 60s for a similar price. I think i searched lsa or ls3 injectors

Thanks. There is a little bit of discussion about these injectors on some other forums. We are looking for a name brand version like Siemens.
Im late to the party but I would imagine cheap/junkyard sbc, whatever auto trans you want and spray would do it.
