I have a set of rims off my focus svt that I would like to use on my fiesta st.  The tires on the rim are 215 45 17, 17x 7.5.  The tires on the fiesta st currently are 205 40 17.  I have not even tried to fit the current larger size tire on the fiesta, but I would really like to use the focus rims for some dedicated snow tires.

Thanks

I just realized I need to know if these rims will work at all. I'll get back after a test fit.  Thanks again

Talking to myself is about the only way I can get a thread going.

Don't be afraid to post what your learned. It'll probably end up helping someone else.

So I learned that just because they fit doesn't mean they are correct.  I had some aftermarket rims and tires from my focus svt. I wanted to use them for snows on our fiesta st.  The tires went on, cleared the rotors and did not rub.  The problem was putting the lug nuts on.  They would go on, but i couldn't get them seated properly.  I was advised by a local with a tuner shop to get different lugs with the proper driver to seat them.

Hopefully this has done the trick.  My wife just called from the road saying the car feels weird and the tires are loud.  I explained that she just went from mild performance tires to larger snows.   I will re-torque the lugs and see if there are any issues.

Possibly this is the issue with rims that I didn't buy new?  I was really tired of taking the car in and having them put snows on, then put summer tires on in the spring.  You get the deal.

I'll let you know how this turns out.
