2002 Hyundai Getz 1.5 DOHC 5 speed. Stock. 2001 Hyundai Elantra 1.5 DOHC 5 speed. Not stock.

They're both about 2500 bucks asking price and I'm looking to buy this weekend.

Does it need to be domestic?

They are both sticks. The first one is an Elantra 1.5 DOHC with the alpha engine.

The second one is a Getz. It's basically a short wheelbase Rio, as far as I can tell.

I checked another work computer and results are the same. Maybe you have some sort of filter that stops it. Rest of us might not be so lucky at work

Elantra. Hands down better platform, more tuning options for the suspension (you have the entire GK Tib catalog to order from) and plenty of silly bits you can sell off to make money back... Then again I'm a bit partial to White XD Sedans.....

While I typically agree with this, it's the Elantra platform (great platform, hard to F-it up) and an Alpha engine (only thing more indestructible is... umm.... I can't think of anything right now).

Yes, according to the (very possibly bullE36 M3) description at the bottom of the ad, this car makes 301 whp at 1.5 bar. If that's true, it definitely has aftermarket pistons at the very least. 22 psi, 10:1 comp thin ring pistons and obligatory 89 octane do not play nicely, I'd think.

My first modification would be to cut that boost in half. My second modification would be an oil cooler.

Suprised that the filters in Korea let that go through. Unless your on a VPN that is.

When I was in Korea earlier this year I tried accessing my local autocross club website and it was blocked in Korea as not family friendly. Had to go through my work Gov't VPN to access the site. Will be back there again next week.
