Strange request. I am working on purchasing a w123 Mercedes wagon that I was tipped off on from here. It has been sitting for a few years and has no battery. The owners want to sell it but won't sell until they know if it will run or not. They have not found a battery for it but I stopped by today and they said if I brought a battery to see if it starts I can buy it.
So, does anyone have a large battery I could borrow or rent for a day? Or do you know where I could find a cheap used one?
When do you need it?
No specific time, whenever I can get one and stop by to try it out.

If you would have posted this 20 minutes earlier, I'd bring a Mercedes battery with me to the rallycross tomorrow. We just replaced one in a later model E-class because it was marginal and we still have the core kicking around.

Looks like I have one covered for the preliminary inspection but if I do buy it I may contact you I'd you want to sell the used one.
