Slightly beyond Challenge friendly, but not much.

This is a 1968 Plymouth Satellite station wagon that was made into a mild drag car years ago. The body and underneath is not all rotted out- very solid. There is some rot in the lowest part of the spare tire well. There is no interior except for a racing seat and dash is still intact. It was done up like a Sox & Martin car with the paint scheme. Motor is a 1965 440 with a 727 torqueflite and an 8 3/4 posi rear axle. It will run but has been sitting for a long time so carb and tune-up stuff is badly needed. Transmission does not work in any gear. It was supposed to have been a rebuilt unit but doesn't function at all. I have a valid title. Located in Worcester, mass 45 minutes north of Providence. Good project car. 508792-6211 days
Stop it. Stop now. Turn the computer off and put the mouse down. I said put the mouse down!!
trans doesn't work in any gear... bad torque converter?
Why is it still up there?
Woah, the pseudo-SC/Rambler paint scheme is weird.
Although, it's probably unintentional. He could be copying the 1970 and up Sox & Martin paint scheme, and it just didn't work out on the bodylines of that car.
Yea he was going for the Sox & Martin look.
I'm glad I'm not anywhere near that wagon.

Me too. That thing is too cool.
I bet if you refill the transmission and run it for a while it will start working again. TF 727s don't have a check valve to keep the torque converter from emptying. It's called 'morning sickness' and I'm reminded every time I let my truck sit for any length of time.
If that fails it might be a bad front pump or bushing but at any rate it's an easy fix.
That wagon is tempting and sorta local. Very cool paint scheme!
