Corvair collection at Auction

Ypu do not see that many finished Corvairs  available  and I wonder if so many corvairs at one time  will kill the small Corvair market.

There are no big-money cars in there (Yenko's etc), but some reasonably collectible ones (e.g. nice Lakewoods are rare).  I think one of the most interesting (and maybe the rarest) is the 500 Sedan in what appears be original condition.  Still has the rubber mats!  You never see those, most where crushed. The guy really seemed to like Rampsides!

I would guess, the number of cars will kill any over-paying for the cars. If someone is looking for a cheaper old car, there are enough for a number of people.

I would be very curious (cautious) as to which ones have been painted, and how.  Corvairs have been cheap for a long time, and low budget repaints (e.g. Earl Sheib) can be very common on some.  Of course, rust in the convertibles...  No pictures of the undersides of common rust spots in any of the cars!

I think it's a nice chance for some people to get (what appear to be) some decent car... if they are careful not to pay too much and willing to take the risk based on the lack of detailed pics.  I would really want to see them in person, and if they run well.  You really have no idea how good the engines are.  I think if all were verified fully restored cars, it might have some effect, but that clearly is not the case.

I  am sure the local guys in the Corvair club knows who the seller is , 

Corvair guys are known to be pretty cheap , so other than the ramp trucks I do not see  much of a bidding war.

my friend has a few early ones and I have had a couple so they are always of interest :)

I've always wanted a 65+ Corvair.  I'll have to check out the auction, but they will go for too much money.  

The 66 turbo 4 speed is pretty rare.  Its the last year for the turbo.

I am such a sucker for Corvairs. I still remember going to some old industrial building in Jersey thirty years ago stuffed with 3 or 4 dozen Corvairs in various stages of quality 35 years ago. I don't know why I didn't buy one of the 4 speed coupes. 

Yup, lotta Corvairs about to cross the block. 

I find it interesting it has 3 69 coupes and they are all 95 hp powerglides.
