12 year old fashion car with some maintenance items, tons of leaks and "they all do thats" that are pricey if you go the dealer. Interesting that the dash shot is in accessory when all of the lights come on. Let's see it at idle to see what systems give warnings.
Price is a touch low, but that might be because it's not as good in person as in pictures.
Well... it's a 12 year old BMW... how lucky do you feel?
I kinda like this one for $8500 better. Similar, but with less monetary risk.
I came here looking for a reeaaalllly big engine... But I suppose that would've been abbreviated as cu. in.
I looked at one of these for a forum member a couple of years ago. They're really nice and the engine is as smooth as a cue ball. My understanding is the common failure point is the valve seals. They degrade and the engine swallows oil and cures your mosquito problems. Replacing them is about as easy as you'd imagine which is about when people decide they don't like them as much as they thought they did.

And I give them a resounding MEH at best. To me they are dumpy and look like a RWD version of the last generation Grand Prix, which is not a handsome car.
But styling is totally subjective, of course, so that means precisely nothing.

Yes you did, and it's still in the fleet. The two big problems with the N62 V8 are a leaky alternator bracket oil seal and valve seals. The engine mount needs to be unbolted and the engine raised to get to the alt bracket seal. Shop price is around $2k for labor to replace a $5 seal. Valve seals are a $8k dealer / $3-4k indie shop charge, and I'm here to say worth it. It's not mazdeuce's R63 engine story, but it's same scope.
She's a supermodel - seductress when the top is down and all going well, but man is she a high maintenance beeyotch.
These things ever come with the straight six and a manual, or all V8 wallet eaters?
not a 645 but a 6 coupe?

All E63/64 are V8 in USA, other regions had 6 cyl

It's a bit amusing these are cheaper now than a GTO of similar vintage that cost half as much when new. And I doubt the GTO will get much, if any, cheaper (if not increase) whereas these probably have nowhere to go but down.
Otherwise, I agree - if a potentially needy BMW luxo-coupe is in your sights, an 8-series probably makes more sense from a resale/collectible POV, although manual transmission examples are rare.

Yeah but one's got a small block chevy already in it.
