Funny, funny, funny, funny, funny! They were having a blast! It is a blast!! The stunt drivers were having a blast! What a blast.
I hope there's some sort of tribute to the brothers in whatever becomes of the mall.
"The new Oldsmobiles are in early this year!" - that's the first thing that came into my mind when I saw the thread title. So classic.
i live 4 miles from there.
i worked on a garage door that backs up to the dump the other day..
its a SCARY dump right now. i'm glad a river and railroad tracks separate my town from harvey! haha i love driving around themall though. if you wanna fight bums, you can walk right into it, its barely boarded up anymore
"Stop yelling at me. Why don't you offer some....constructive criticism."
"Hey, you got us into this parking lot pal, now you get us out."
Hell, I'm old enough to remember shopping there! Before they closed it and then filmed the movie there. The funny thing is even thought I'm a lifetime Chicago area resident I first saw the movie the "Blues Brothers" at a movie theater in a Detroit suburb. A friend and I were on a trip to the Henery Ford Museum and nothing to do one eveing so we went.
My favorite scene is near the begining of the movie when their waiting for the bridge to go up. If you look in the background you wil see a little shop with signs saying fired fish & shrimp for sale. As a kid my parents used to go there on Fridays to buy our dinner. It's still open, there was even a story on the local TV about it just a few weeks ago.
Another movie filmed in Chicago is "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" that made effective use of it's Chicago loction!
