Wow, I'm impressed. I've had mine about 30 minutes and what a great work light. This one will be going in my day bag, and I'll be picking up a couple of more in the future to put in the cars.

Cool. I'll have to get one of those. I have a pair of the smaller lights and I really like them. I have a tendency to hold the plastic clip in my teeth when I'm working under the car. I wish they had skipped the red LED though, so that you can turn the light that you're going to use with the first click.

Also, ECM is awesome.

Aw shucks guys, I didn't invent it. I felt like I was writing a canoe with that post but it's been a long time since I bought a product and was so thoroughly impressed with it. Just remember, under no circimstances should you look Big Larry in the eye when you turn him on LOL.

Larry looks like a nice enough guy, but probably a little pricey (haven't looked).

I'm a fan of his older (and inexpesnive) brother Stanley. Magnet base on one end, carabiner on the other. Hi, low, and strobe (no red tho). Very versatile with the adjustable hinge in the middle to get the light in juuuussst the right spot.

On any account tho, yes, ECM is, in fact, a genius

I got mine from amazon for $21 shipped. I like it because it's super bright and small. I do a lot of work above drop ceilings. It's small enough to fit in my tool bag and with the magnetic base, it will stick to just about anything up there.

At our annual awards banquet we ran an "Italian" auction. One guy bought a Big Larry for just $70

Looks like a nice toy. I threw one on my amazon list, I'll grab it next time I feel spendy.

I have a Craftsman one of those I got at Sears. Handy little light and bright to boot as well.

Resurrecting this thread because I too now have a Big Larry light, and it really is a darn good light.

It throws a lot of light very widely and not very far. This is not the light for trying to spot a deer at 100 yards. It's the best light for trying to light up an entire room or the entire area under the dashboard.

It's a panel led, with only a hint of blue. It's pretty close to full spectrum lighting, so it lights up almost everything almost as well as an old fashioned incandescent bulb.

Strong magnetic base sticks very well.

Can't emphasize enough how well this unit throws light for working under.

I had two more show up yesterday. One for my wife to put in her pocketbook, and another for my night stand.

On the way back from WI with the bus, I would turn it to the red flash and stick it in the back window on the long slow climbs so people wouldn't run over me.

They are outstanding lights and much better than a standard flashlight for emergency situations and working in dark areas.

And after seeing this thread, I just ordered one.
