Great, thanks guys, now I really want an ND

Interesting - I'm looking at my ND more as a treat than a DD. The 996 is Germanically Serious and thus perfect for a commute, but the ND is just something to hop into and take on a fun drive.

My ex- felt the same way. She had zero interest in previous Miatas - to the point of looking down on them, but the moment ND photos were released, she was smitten. Then when she saw it in person at the NYIAS her comment was, "this car will need to really drive like crap for me not to buy one..." And of course it doesn't so she did.
Watched a show last night on how the Alfa C4 is built. They are pretty much hand built.
I get the feeling that once it is out of warranty, you will not want to own this thing. You know how insurance totals Loti for clam-shell damage? This C4 thing is going to be totaled for paint scratches and/or fuse.
Did I mention it is beautiful?

What channel was this on? I'd like to catch a re-run.

It was on the discovery channel. You know, the one where time and money are always running out and tempers are flaring because of it. And they all wear black T-shirts and stand around with their arms crossed. That channel.

There are cars I want to drive and cars I want to own. The 4c, like the lotus, strike me as cars I want to drive. At 6'1" and 235 lbs I don't want to own either. The nd miata (if I fit) seems like a car I might want to own .
