It's almost like having mandatory wall taps in a drift event.

My F500 has reverse; move wheel slight left or slight right, pin throttle.................work just fine. If that doesn't work carry a way to much corner entry speed............you'll find reverse.

Looking at the course diagram, it looks like they set up the whole course with nine cones.

It has a muffler... An itty bitty one...

 

Also, they still have what the thread talks about on the other side of the pond.

Cones were in much shorter supply back in those days; a lot got used in the war effort
