List of things to do when wealthy and retired:

Number 4080: Buy piece of E36 M3 barely running dually diesel turd truck. Triple park in "LOW EMISSION VEHICLES ONLY!" spots. Leave note on windshield: "I paid for the parking lot, the building, and the salaries of the occupants of said building, not to mention your berkeleying sign. I'll park wherever the berkeley I want. Thanks, the management."

Aside from handicap parking the rest of the "hybrid only" "low emissions" "parent with child" etc mean nothing to me and I'll park there at my pleasure.

I got an earful the other day parking in the infant spot at Stop and Shop. My wife has a handicap permit but doesn't like to use it unless she's having a really bad day, and if I'm with her I drop her off and find regular parking and then get the car when she is done. I dropped her at the door and the lot was crowded but the 4 infant spots were opened so I parked in one because it was close enough that she should be able to walk back to it. Some noisy pain in the ass started to lecture me on the importance of keeping the spots open and how I obviously don't understand how hard shopping with kids is. I stood silent until he was done running his mouth then wrote on the back of my grocery list to say it again slower or write it down for me. I read lips slowly and didn't get it all. He looked guilt and apologized for not realizing I was handicapped.

LOL...handled it better than I would have. I usually just say "but I do have an infant, the sign didn't say they had to be with me"

from what I've seen most of them just say something like shoppers with children... I tend to park in the back of the parking lot, I like the extra walk and less stress of running up and down the lot to find a spot that would let me walk a shorter distance... but I could make the argument that my 20+ y/o volvo has produced less emissions than someone with a car that has replaced their car 5 or 6 times in the life of my car... or so I like to tell myself lol

There is a similar setup at Ikea. The closest spots are of course handicap spaces, but the next several rows are "family parking."

I have a family. I park there.

Ikea should only allow Swedish cars to park close

I would aurgue my GSXR would qualify. It is very efficient, makes over 150 horses out of that little engine

I was born in bed with a woman!

I don't imagine I'd have much in common with the people that drive LEV vehicles. Not all... Just the really proud/smug ones.

We made fun of the ROLLING COAL guys but there may be a niche for them. Seek out all LEV parking spots and smoke out the snobs! Kinda like spraying for mosquitos.

Oh man, I'm already old and crotchety as berkeley. I just need the huge wads of cash that will allow me to more efficiently make enemies and annoy people.

I parked in the "Senior Citizens" and "Expectant Mother" parking spaces at the grocery store before. There is no law that prevents me from doing so, even though I am a 29-year-old male.

Logan airport in boston has a bunch of parking spaces all near the elevators in central parking that are painted in green for "hybrid parking only". every time i walked past them i wanted to get a 'hybrid' magnet and stick it on the back of my Trailblazer SS and park right next to all those damn piouses
