I have recently completed a large job on my 318ti (clutch, flywheel, motor mounts and lots of little side jobs) and when I reinstalled the exhaust it now contacts the underside of the car. The noise/ vibration is annoying. What are some good techiques to bend the pipe and get some clearance? For those familiar with the Ti, it is contacting the crossmember just foward of the differential.

Loosen all of the joints/fasteners you can get to (exhaust, mounts, hangers), use some prybars/screwdrivers/wedges/whatever to create gaps where you want them, then tighten all the fasteners. That works 99% of the time if you just removed and reinstalled parts. Obviously, if you were dealing with new exhaust parts or had welded stuff it would be a different story.
