It IS rare - it only had 8 cylinders! No panic, it's probably a Datsun with a Ferrari hat on.

It's a convertible. No way that's a real one. Still sucks!

I think you are spot on with this one. I looked in the Wiki and there is no mention of a convertible 250 GTO

Are there more pictures than the two in the article? It's pretty hard to tell it's a convertible from those. But the carbs do kinda tell the story.

Here's the windshield on a real one:

Big difference in the headlight covers as well, not that there weren't running changes...

I see 99% chance insurance fraud? Then again, most "Image only" people still couldn't tell the difference

You can plainly see the strut towers in the picture. And the drivers fender is gone, probably fiberglass that was consumed in the fire. Most likely an S30 Datsun chassis.

Pretty much exactly what I was going to say. The owner is going to be greatly disappointed when the adjuster arrives with the bad news.

Here's a GTO Replica for sale in Marbella:

Do any of ya'll remember the girls who built their own from a Z car chassis? It was on the old forums, not that I was around for that, but I found it in the archives somehow awhile back.

They didn't just put the GTO kit on, they also swapped in a BMW V12 and fixed the shape of the hood. That was one cool car, there was never enough information on it.
