The 2017 Fusion Sport has gotten my interest, but I can't find anything about how the AWD system works. I am guessing it is based on wheel braking, like so many other modern AWD systems. Can anybody point me to more information? My google-fu is failing me today.

This car intrigues me, as well, though in a few years when sweet lady depreciation has done her work.

Motor Trend is reporting that it is the AWD system from the Edge, which is not a torque vectoring AWD. I assume any pseudo-torque vectoring is done with the brakes.

Good information, thanks.

Considering it's from the much heavier Edge, you can be somewhat assured it'll be at least pretty beefy for the lighter Fusion.

You'll need to log in to post.
