I found a 97 ranger extended cab v6 truck cheap. 350. While dragging it home rear springs broke. Body is fair engine runs but has knock when warm. Has limited slip rear splash trim level.
What would you do? V8 swap ?part it out ?

Spring broke or hanger broke? I was buying those up all the time for 3-400 with broken spring hangers and buying the kit from ford for $75 and putting them together. They are decent little run around trucks.
If it broke because of rust then drag it across the scales before the frame snaps.
If it broke because it's a retarded ford thing then uhh i guess have fun dealing with retarded ford things?
My in laws have a truck like that and it is extremely uninspiring. As far as im concerned, v6s and automatic transmissions ruin Rangers. If you dont plan to motor swap it or use it purely for truck purposes i would just try to get back out of it.
Tell us why it broke.
Best friend had a 4.0 5speed splash that was lowered on some mustang 17's. Bigger exhaust, headers, cold air intake, 3.73 gears. More fun than it had any right to be.
