Not much difference between the red and black cars besides the wing. The kits otherwise are very similar, and i think they both look very good.

I actually prefer the red one save for the wing.

I would rock that, but it'd look better with a hatch-top whale tail wing a la Escort Cosworth. I'll take the whole getup in black plzkthxbye.

You and myself both......its tragic the GM bean counters didn't give the astra its VXR drivetrain. Could be blamed on the low sales the IRL had, mainly due to GM never advertising it.

Yeah, the black car looked pretty stunning in person. You'll never get everyone to agree what looks good and what doesn't, but all in all I think they did a pretty damn good job with the look of the BR-Z and FR-S. Even totally stock, they look tidy and nice. At least to my eyes.

I'm sure we will see horrible things done to this car, but as long as folks buy them, I'll be happy.

I saw the 5 Axis kit at a dealer event and I liked the stock body way better.

The funny thing is, that giant wing is a factory option in Australia!

They have had that style wing in the TRD catalog long before the Celica

Here it is disgracing the back of an MR2

That looks hot as hell but I'm of the apparently minority opinion that the SW20 needs a wing to look "right." I cringe every time I see one where even the factory one has been removed.

That seals it. I've been thinking about taking the wing off my MR2. Now I'm doing it for sure... when I get time. Check back in 2034.

Sorry to go all majority on you, but that thing looks hot as hell with the wing off. It might look even hotter with a little lip spoiler or subtle ducktail, but that looks remarkably clean with those wheels and stance.

Ditto.

The TRD SW20 wing is AWESOME, and only looks weird in that picture because the car is red, and red cars look terrible.

I've seen that wing on a black car with a snorkel and i peed a little.

Agreed. I think the wing on a not red car would look legit. I suspect that the red just accentuates the "boy racer" look.

Gaping mouth front ends should be punishable by death.

Ducktail rear spoilers should be mandatory. Gurney flaps or flat drag wings would be acceptable alternatives.
