This for a project car that got offered for almost no money.
Long shot but has anybody bought a Porsche G50 lately. Or know the current market prices, I have a complete external case with no internals but thinking it might be easier to just get a complete unit.
Also any idea on HP rating on these boxes. The car has a blown 4.6 chevy bolted to the box and total car weight ~1350lb's (That's not a typo) but it has huge rear tires 375 with semi sticky tires. .
This was on Pelican recently. Sale pending.

Boner.
Its really really ugly. I do have a line on another 550 spyder though so I am waiting to hear back on that before I proceed with buying the monster though.
Not the actual car its still in gel coat and is tube framed. I did built a VW framed one a long time ago and loved it. This is a big step up though in power, is mid engined and has real suspension and brakes not VW stuff.
OK so 3K or so minus what I can get for my empty case.

the Ultima GTR guys uses these transaxles as do the replicar GT40 crowd and the FF GTM builders, and I've heard they're good to around 450 ft/lbs with the turbo sets able to do more, they can be to made to stand up to serious power (you're looking at ~$10k rebuild including strengthened gearset) but can find used units in the $2500-5000 price range. If you were going to buy and rebuild, at that money you can start looking for a Porshce Cayman (newer, more expensive than a G50 ~$7500, and able to do up to around 500 ft-lbs), Ricardo (out of a Ford GT ~ $10000), or on up to full-race transaxles where the sky's the limit...
