It's roughly 10lbs/hp
Really? That's it? Hell my near-stock Mustang is 10.46 lbs/HP and it's an overweight, underpowered pig by most "sportscar guys'" standards. Add the traction limitation to that 3 wheeled monstrosity and it would be a miracle if it's under 5.3 0-60 and high 13s in the quarter. Not bad but far from what I would call superlative by today's standards.

No. I wouldn't.

I wouldn't let my woman tell me what to do either. I would also never buy something brand new. I'd never buy a Slingshot. All those factors don't mean that I can't understand why someone else would buy one to tow behind their RV.

You stated conditions upon which whoever read your post would buy one. I wouldn't, and I was just letting you know.

1740 lbs and 173 hp, though it gets worse once a driver is factored in, and in a really light vehicle it makes a much bigger difference than a typical car.

I screwed up my verbage there. It should have read: "at the $20k price point, no sit-inside vehicle can touch it".
I'd like to see them figure out how to get the entire motor behind the front wheels, then make it FWD. The single-drive-wheel concept leaves me cold.
Also, given how easy it is to work up precision composite molds nowadays, I'm sure that folks will be making it prettier any moment now.
I'm always astounded by people getting in fights over vehicles they would never buy anyway.

Not for me. I like the Morgan style replicas with the S&S engines. With that said, price a 4 wheeler or RZR side by side thingie. We cheapskates sometimes underestimate the sheer magnitude of disposable income (some) people in this country have.

...or their ability to keep extending their line of credit.
This thread keeps getting more and more interesting. So much strong opinion on something that is totally not important. I can't wait for these to hit the used market.
Also, we aren't the target market, as usual.
