Was going to go to Carlisle meet you guys and the car on Friday. Weather Looks horrible! Are you guys going to be set up if it's wet? Is the whole thing outdoors? Cars under tents? Never been there before, so no idea what the event is like. Friday is my only shot, can't do Saturday or Sunday:(

Carlisle is a rain or shine event. They are located in building T right across from Factory Five Racing. I figured the rain may hold crowds down in the morning.
We're here in Building T, right at the front next to Factory Five. I'm currently internet-challenged; T-Mobile isn't a big fan of Pennsylvania, and Carlisle's Wi-Fi is a bit, umm, localized.
We've got XP-1 and a naked XP-4. The show is quite empty, probably due to rain. Thankfully it has stopped.
It's taking all my self control to not take out XP-4 on the big empty paved parking "road course" next to the building. Probably not a good idea to get kicked out after that very rainy drive up.

Female molds are built. We got a test pull set laid up before we left, but the sudden cold front delayed a hard cure for the parts.
I ended up seeing my apartment earlier this morning to grab clothes. It's easier to work 16 hours a day when your girlfriend is working a co-op out of town. We'll have complete car pictures next week when we get back!

I'll see you guys tomorrow. Please ignore me. Do not speak to the merits of your product. In fact, just be absent most of the morning so you're sure to miss me. Put ropes around them and large items in the seats so I'm not tempted to enter.
I so don't need one of these fantastic cars.
Last November I spent several hours at the factory doing what most accurately can only be described as "loitering". I asked everything I could think of. Mostly to determine whether things were "right" and whether this was something that would handle like a Miata or was just using a Miata to make it go. Everything I asked about had a reason for the way it was. Ask Warren about the way the Miata front and rear subframes are mounted. Warren may or may not realize it but for certain buyers he's Director of Sales.
jmimac351, You never talk to a salesman to determine the merits of a product, But always talk to an engineer, especially the lead design engineer. Over a couple of Cold beers is always the best way to question and discuss a product.
BTW I am an engineer
Part of me is all like "d'aww, you guyths."
The other part is angry that anyone would accuse me of being a sales guy. Ugh, I hate salesmen.
Carlisle was a lot of fun, it was great to meet a lot of the lurkers on this thread!
I'm getting pretty pumped as I'm getting ready to go to ATL and pick up my frame next week.
What is the length of the frame? I want to stack some pallets in the bed of a Tacoma and strap it down as long as it won't be hanging way off
The frame length is just under 10'4". See you soon!
Yeah, so you're thinking or have ordered one of these and you're trying to figure out what color combo to go with. Maybe you've put together a spreadsheet of candidate body / frame color combinations. Well, here is a site to get RAL sample panels for 70 cents a pop. Yeah, Prismatic Powders has 6500 colors. That sounds like a good way to go nuts. You can make anything look killer with those RAL colors. There will probably be something you scratch and there will probably be something welded to the car you don't expect. This site will also do a small quantity of RAL spray touch up paint for when you need it.

It was a lot of fun actually seeing the machine in person. We were there early Friday, I will post a pic or two later on....

Mmmmm.... black body work, Repsol Orange frame, orange and white vinyl stripe/number circle design....
What were you cooking up?
In reply to kylini:
I'm a big fan of orange, satin black, and carbon.
This is my current STi track build.

And my fiat is wrapped with the same vinyl. So the Exocet needs to match.

I thought about a Repsol scheme as well. Mixing orange, red, white, and black together.

Let's see some new bodywork! It has to be close...
Wouldn't you like to see?
Let us trim, clean, and polish everything first. The set looks ugly with PVA all over it.
I really REALLY wanna see!
I jumped on the Orange body David Chow put up for sale.... I guess I will have both gens of bodywork.

Fastforward kit?
Yep. Just got it. I've been watching a friend's Miata with an older Flyin' Miata supercharger kit run and run here in the Southeast - many at Sebring. We both run on average every month with Chin Motorsports and he probably has 30+ days on the setup so far. No issues other than replacing a junkyard trans. I'm convinced blower is the way to go. I'll be running E85 on a '99 motor with 1.6L electronics.

Going the same route with another supercharger maker that is coming on line later this year. However it is on the "hotside" versus the kit you have which is on the "coldside". Hmmmmmmm

You going with the management cards from FF?
Why the 1.6L electronics?
