Ask any mechanic if you should buy the first year of anything.

We know the answer is "NO", but that will result in no second year of anything. We need folks that are either too dumb or too wealthy to follow your advice. Roll for initiative...

Ask any car guy about the pricing curve for an all-new cutting edge brand and / or model.  When you get one very early there is always somebody willing to write a bigger check to have one NOW.  Think of the rollout of the Lightning and then shortly after the Bronco.  Both were going $20k over sticker for probably 12 months+.

My plan will be to finalize an order quickly, get it and spend time with it, and potentially sell it on while ordering another one.  In fact, based upon how timing has worked out on similar launches, my bet is the queue of orders fills pretty quickly, so I may put in a second reservation in like 2 weeks, which would likely provide a second unit 6 months or a year behind the first.

We can spend some time in the first one, produce some content with it, and move it on to Carvana or similar with a tidy profit.  Use those profits towards the second one which no doubt will have had some kinks worked out from the first.

We are different sorts of vehicle owners then.

When I buy something, I run it until there's nothing left of it.

Vehicles simply cost too much for me to be the Red Shirt for a manufacturer.
