Hopefully we can start putting that right this season - the C 30 makes for a killer race car.

Hey that's awesome - the Volvo's running in 1-2 formation in both GT and TC must of looked cool. I'm looking forward to watching the TV coverage. Post the pic of the c30 you did in Forza, I want to get a little collection going and show it to the guys at Volvo - and to the mechanics that built the cars - they have worked SOOOOO hard - I think they would really appreciate seeing that people like what they have built!
Welcome! I loved that series on another website which will not be mentioned about the prep for the C30...
In reply to scardeal:
Yeah the C 30 build was a great story - still is, that car is different every time we drive it because of the rate of development. Give the K-PAX guys a day and they do a weeks worth of work.
Aaron, Welcome to the boards.
Question for you.
In WRC the trend seems to favor the hatchback body style over the sedan. In your racing experience do feel there is a significant difference in the performance of the C30 due to body style over other cars in your class?
Well no wonder Aaron is so fast, look at his back bumper!
Glad to see you on the board--- And congrats on the race win at Mid-Ohio!
Hey Aaron! Good to have you on the board!
Hopefully, our BMW will have an answer for your Volvo at Petit! Look forward to meeting you there.
Hey Aaron, This is Maurice. Met you at Mid-O and just added me on FBK not too long ago. Glad to see you on the boards! Welcome.

You going to be there this coming weekend? I'm racing at Lightning FRI/SAT/SUN with BMWCCA. Got some friends over at Thunderbolt with SCCA as well. We are loud, smell like cigar smoke and will camping in the paddock at Lightning... (in other words... easy to spot) swing by for a beer.
Saw your win at Mid Ohio, it was great. When you guys were on the warm up lap I asked my 8 year old son who he wanted to win and it was your car, thanks.
In reply to Joe Gearin:
Thanks for the pic Joe - and helping me get set up on the forum here. I hope you make it out to Laguna!
In reply to scardeal:
oh yeah and in terms of the "un named website" Jalopnik!!! They do a great job and my Teammate Robb Holland (who also won a WC race last weekend!!!) wrote all those articles - all of which has furthered the cause. I think any and all efforts to generate more interest in the sport is a good thing and I would think that what is good for GRM is also good for Jalopnik and visa versa. Now what we REALLY outta do is get GRM to post the video's of Randy Pobst and I chasing each other around the Gainsville raceway in the WC spec Honda Civic and Mazda RX8...it's a long story but it represents how as racer's we are all in this together: The owners of the TLM Racing team and Grid 1 Motorsports offered the two of us their cars to test at the GRM promo day - despite both cars being direct competitors of K-PAX Racing - total enthusiasts! (the out takes of Randy picking on me afterward even better...)

Loved the comments posted on your E 30!
If I have something to race this weekend or someone to coach I'll stick around (after all I hate coming all the way down here for 2 days....) if not though - I'm getting back to Toronto to enjoy a weekend at home!!
Aaron, hey! Met you at Mosport... was really disappointed not to ride along during hot laps, but glad you got the Volvo set up for the Challenge race!
In reply to Lesley:
Hi Lesley - we got to get you out to one of our lapping days. Need to get you that hot lap :)
Actually sitting here cooking up some of that test day video for the next World Challenge video Behind the scenes. Aaron and Randy did a great job, as did the rest of our special guests. We invite you to go back and watch all the World Challenge videos from time to time.
Anyway... Aaron, a question: As racers, we all tend to have our favorite traits about certain cars, while the cars have areas where they tend to excel and areas where they tend to be weaker. When our strengths match the car's strengths it can results in some blistering times. As a driver, how do you feel like you "match up" with the personality of the Volvo C30s, and what types of parameters do you always seem to be adjusting to make you just a little happier?

FYI: Jalopnik had a series of stories on how the C30 race cars were created. Sadly the old Jalopnik layout trick no longer works, but if you can view Jalopnik without your browser crashing, then you can read up here:

You should tell Volvo that these C30 race cars as well as the WTCC race car, are making me want to buy a C30...if only there was a dealer closer to me.
You'll need to log in to post.
