Having a hard time tracking down a sending unit for a temperature warning light.  1/4-3/8 npt preferred (vs 1/2) and a post on the top for an easy connection.

What vehicles should I be looking at for this? something more universal is great too.

Its for our bronco as the temp gauge is small and out of sight.  I dont trust myself to check it enough much less my wife and this is for her!

What engine is in the Bronco?  6 or 8 cylinder?  I'd think you should still be able to just look up the factory part on Rock Auto or some other site.

Go to NAPA and ask them for the Big Book Of Switches from under the counter. It's a Balkamp book, I think, but it has pictures of every sensor as well as thread pitch and threshold temperature. By far the easiest option.

I used an Auto Meter oil temperature light driver for the fan control circuit on my Fairmont. It turned on at 210° and off at 185°. I seem to remember it being a little big, so I used and adaptor, which I'm sure skewed the temperature a little.
