In the shop right now I have an Excelsior Talisman twin 328cc 2 stroke motor from a 1958 Berkeley sports and I am having a devil of a time finding someone who will do the machining or completely rebuild it. The crankshaft and rods need work. I have shipped this thing to a few motorcycle specific shops who have returned it saying there is nothing they can do because it is too primitive, has bearings they are unfamiliar with or can't get any parts for it.  The local machine shops I use have simply slid it back over the counter to me saying they don't do motorcycles. I have gone so far as to find a specialist in the UK to ship the crankshaft to, but the lockdown has him so busy that he hasn't returned any emails for months.

Harley shops say "no thank you". Two stroke specific shops say "we only do Japanese stuff" Auto machine shops say "uhh, what is this?" Please GRM, help me find someone that can.

I would give Arlan at LED a call. He specializes in old 2 stroke bike/ATV engines. If he can't help, maybe he can suggest someone who can. Looks like he may even be semi local.
