"Below is the spec sheet for those who can read kanji, hiragana or katakana:"
Does that mean that the author did not know what language it was written in, or are there three language in Japan, or three names for their characters? Either way, cool little car that we will never see.

Actually according to Toyobaru math, 200hp should suffice
FWD or RWD?
If FWD it is a "Swing and a Miss".
If RWD it is a "Home-Run".
Either way, I can't see it ever arriving here with the current infatuation for mass and volume in our vehicles. With gas being virtually free nowadays, the only reason to own this little thing would be for fun. And that is not a compelling business-plan.
Its mid engine rear drive. There is really nothing new in the linked article except more specific specifications and the shape.

Article says it's RWD. But now that you mention it, there probably is room in the front to do a dual-powertrain conversion...

This intrigues me then!

This is a temporary condition that I expect should correct itself before the the first one rolls off the assembly line.

Yep I wouldn't count on it lasting long. In fact now is the perfect time to buy an EV so you'll be ready when expensive gas comes back with a vengeance.
Still paying close to $7/gal myself.
I can see the appeal of something like this (at least with the bigger motor) but good lord that's an ugly drawing. Let's hope that it looks (A LOT) better in the flesh.

This. Also 80mpg. And a 2 more seats and a hatchback.
Also, I don't know what it costs, but it should cost less.

Not to derail the thread, but really? Wow. How does that work? I am fascinated. I will have to do some Googling.

Didn't people say the same thing about the 1990 Miata?

Yes. That's why i cross-shopped a huge land barge and bought it instead. Because it had power.

Did they? In 1990, 300hp was still a lot. As sad as it was, between the Mustang, Camaro, 911 (non-turbo), and Corvette (non-ZR1), none were making more than 250hp...And that's not even factoring in weight.
