Cuba FTW
I’ve seen a lot of “carfax to verify never registered up north” and will add that in my experience vehiclehistory dot com is pretty decent at registration history for free. I’m in ATL, cars a so clean here. My buddies up north in the rust belt are always jealous.
I went down to southern VA and SC for my last two vans. I replaced the shocks on the 2005 and I didn't even have to cut the sway bar end links! It was amazing.
I'll do it again in a few years. It's worth $200 and a day of driving to not deal with northern corrosion!

Stick to genuinely Southern States (per the civil war) and you'll be fine.
We Call That The Mason Dickson Line, Today I look South WEST Like Texas
Wrong on the Mason-Dixon Line. It borders Pennsylvania/Maryland and trust me, the cars there are rusted. Bad.
I grew up in and worked on many cars from North Carolina and they are absolutely rust free. If you find a rusty NC car, it’s because someone from “up North” moved there and brought it with them.
