I bought a couple of small led flood lights, and the plan was to mount them on my truck to use as a camp light, and and for light loading/unloading my trailer at night. I've been trying to figure out a way I can mount my two lights with my topper. One to the side and one pointing to the back.
I'm not the most creative guy, so thoughts?
Thanks!

I would want them on a bracket that I could move them up and down.
Can you make a roof rack for the cap? Maybe build off of roof racks? At the very least I’d buy some aluminum 1/8 plate and using some cardboard for a template, make a couple bolt-on-able brackets.

Those lights are designed to be set into the bumper/panel and bolted thru it. I would sell them and get some with brackets that could be bolted where you want them. Similar to the ones on my car which have a bracket with one bolt to hold it to the vehicle and the light can be tilted in the bracket.
I would get pivot mounted lamps and use an old roof rack mounted to the cap. Kind of like this.
My son just bought two pairs of these:
From Amazon for $26. We're planning to put a pair inside the toolbox lid, and a pair under the rear bumper.
You could do something similar, maybe mount the upper pair on the upper corners of the topper.
Cut a wedge out of wood that angles them down, paint it black, and mount them inside shining through the glass. A couple piano or baling wires through the fins will anchor to above and below the glass.
Thanks for the advice everyone. I looked into putting a rack on top of the topper, but didn't really want to drill through the topper. I need to do more looking to see how others mount a rack.
I think you guys may be right, I should probably buy some with swivel mounts already on them. Not a huge deal, then i just have an excuse to put these in the bumper.

Those illuminate very well, but they don't pierce (or "spot") quite as far as the high end ones. I have two hidden behind the grille of my Crown Vic. You don't notice them unless you're looking for lights and they work surprisingly well.
