I have a feeling they're going to have that on the shelf for a while at that price.

the sad truth... not as long as it should....

Maybe.... OEM rain guards for that body style are flying off the shelves for $300. (I lucked out and got mine for $75.)

I gotta be honest, if that was more like... $500, i'd probably buy it. That's one of the "Holy Grail" parts, but $1800 holy E36 M3.

Someone will buy it. I'd bet within a couple weeks. Which then makes it ok for the next guy to sell his beat up one for $1000.

The prostitution business works pretty much the same way, so its not an uncommon practice.

That's probably the sort of life experience you should keep quiet about

I see things like this and think " Man I know how to heat form these parts I could make repops." Then I remember I'd actually need one first and I'll not spending that kind of cash.

That's nothing. Try GDM parts:

That's a whole decklid thing, though!

What you're seeing in the original post is pretty much... a bug deflector for the rear window that says "CELICA" on it.

That said, i've only seen pictures of three cars with these. One of them was an uber-rare factory champagne/gold color on top of that.

It doesn't work on that particular car in my opinion.... but i would like to have one. I think they look pretty good on the right cars.

I don't think this is the same one... Think this one might be made by Solarwing.

it's probably just me.. but I do not care for upper hatch spoilers.. I find most of them to be pretty ugly. The only car that ever pulled it off were volvo estates

Mazda made them for the FD and those looked pretty decent IMO.

FD roof spoiler:

I see them for FCs, too:

They aren't as out-of-place looking as the Celica's or 06-07 STi's roof spoiler. Since I have to repaint my turbo FC anyways I would consider one for cheap, but it's not high on my priority list either.

That one on the FD above is not factory. Here is the factory one, but not a great pic:

Think the seller realizes that every widebody 90-93 celica had the same side moulding?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-Authentic-90-93-Celica-GT4-ST185-ST183-WRC-RC-OEM-Body-Side-Molding-Set-/390397706903?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item5ae5844297

$365 shipped for side molding you could get off of any old GTS in the junkyard. Well, at least now i know how i'll make my fortune.

I missed a Toyota on e-bay that I would still have liked to have had. Oh well, I moved on to Porsches...

Hondas have actually gotten worse, believe it or not.

It's really just this seller that's out of his mind. Motor sets have come WAYYYY down in price in particular. If you've got a Honda, you're looking at almost $5000 for a B18C5. (ITR motor) That's a terrible investment for maybe 200hp.

You can get a Caldina 3sgte motor set, complete, dressed, with trans, uncut harness and ECU for under $2000 shipped. 265 out of the box, 325whp+ with a boost controller.

That said, my Celica might be my last Toyota of this vintage. I want an older one.
