You could go full golf-ball treatment to reduce drag. It's the right color at least.

Do it!

Is your wagon capable of towing a Q45? I might have an offer you can't refuse!
Just for fun, adding tom's Merc and the OCC (had to make some assumptions, Merc is LWB version, and OCC is 92 w/350?)

Truck shipped to Ohio. I just can't spare the time to go get it and really going to get it is not much cheaper if any.
Quotes are not finalized but I am right off I-80 (The Ohio Turnpike) so I am on a heavily traveled East/West Route between Chicago and New York. All I really need is to have it come within a couple hours of home. I'll go pick it up/meet from there. That would then include Columbus, OH (I-70) as well as Metro Detroit.
I had considered shipping to Florida but that could mean reduced prep time as well as the fact it is a farther distance.

If you would like to have a length measure contest, I am sure that can be arranged.
We will need a judge.
Will Nicole be there?
In reply to Esoteric Nixon:
Really!!!
I'm right here in Sandusky. You really should be part of this!

Hmmm, sure about the Merc's length? I read 208 somewhere. I guess I need to measure.
Oh, you guys and your length bickering........a real man is this long.....

I hope that I have drawn you into the idea of competing for "The Aristocrats" since you are shopping limos!

I've wanted to, but I've always been too chicken.

A stock Towncar has 210 HP and a 40' turning circle. Add 3 or 4 feet of extra length and it'll plow down all the cones.

Can you realistically be away from Ohio from Thursday - Sunday Oct. 22-25? (weekend before Halloween)
Don't let the entry cost keep you away, I'd be happy to pay that. The entry fee feeds you for all day Saturday as well, so that's covered. The hotel provides breakfast every morning so no expense there either.
We would have room to slide you into our room too but even if you don't want to hear two other guys snore, your comfy wagon would have ample room and then you can hit our shower.
I had been communicating with the original owner all along.
I wrote him yesterday to let him know the car was saved from the crusher.
He just called me and asked for my address so that he can send me the OZ wheel center cap lock key and the McGard lug nut lock key that had been forgotten to be added to the car before it was towed away.
Oh, how life would have sucked without these!

BOOM! 208!!!

That would be me. I'm building the supercharged E30. And, yeah, I rallycrossed my wife's bright red Focus earlier this year down near White House, OH.
I've probably driven past you quite a few times recently as my wife and I got season passes to Cedar Point this year.
Some update:
I spoke with the truck driver today. ETA for the Q45 is tomorrow afternoon. Delivery right to my house!
I am still amazed that you can get an entire car shipped for under 50 cents per traveled mile!
I hear that there may be another entering "The Aristocrat" Class.
A Buick Roadmaster wagon complete with woodgrain!
Sample image:
Could be laying up some competition for the Custom Cruiser. Mr. Nixon, you really do need to be there now. The offers still stand and I can be reached at jwelsh02 A yahoo.com (PM's do not always get to me, I think Yahoo blocks them.)
As for Wayne, OH:
There is also Aussie Steve coming from Van Wert, Ohio. Be sure to drop us a line so that you will not have to travel alone or so that we can help with anything possible.
Steve's entire roll cage in his Mustang was built and installed at a race shop in Bradner, OH. A shop that you would not know is there unless you knew it was there.
You'll need to log in to post.
