Visiting in Mamaroneck, N.Y., and went over to Greenwich, Conn. for a car show/ Bonham auction. Spotted Wayne waling around by an old Allard.

Lots of VERY interesting cars. Perhaps the one that piqued my interest the most, was a Ghia rebodied Jag (140 maybe?).

There were a few different Ferrari 250's, and a 1936 Cord, and some Zagato rebodied Aston Martin that made it look sort of like a Subaru SVx.

He owns this place: http://www.f40.com/ And he is the principal on the show "Chasing Classic Cars" on the Velocity cable TV network.

Wayne is the "star" of Chasing Classic Cars.

I saw him around a bunch when I was at Pebble Beach and the rest of the Monterey events last year. I went to the Gooding auction, which was doubly interesting because it was the same auctioneer I'd been watching on CCC for ages, I felt like I was in an episode of the show.

I grew up 10 min from F40, and always loved seeing the cars they had out front. My all-time favorite was the 288 GTO!

Since the TV is supposed to make everything look bigger how tall is he really? I saw him standing next to one of the auction company execs on the show and he looked as if he was only 5 feet tall (or less).

I'd say he's about 5'5", maybe 5'4".

You mean the guy who is on tv with his own show about his job that entails buying and selling some of the most interesting and rare cars in the world, going to Pebble Beach and all the amazing people he meets? That guy?

And his HEIGHT means a damn why?

Curiosity that is all. Like I said I saw him next to one of the execs of one of the auctions and he seemed to be unusually short like 4' something short. But then in other shots he seems normal. Just one of the weird things you notice after watching his shows so many times in rerun.

BTW he seems like a really cool guy. Yes he is in it to make money but he also seems to know when to do the rite thing. I was especially impressed with the sale of a non runner for an elderly lady that he waved all the fees to his client when the sale price was significantly less than anticipated. That was a really cool thing to do!

Spoke with him at the Newport Concours a few years ago and went to a Cars and Coffee event at F40 a couple of years ago.

Seems like a nice enough fellow. Absolutely has an amazing job.

Last week's episode with the Miura in that crappy garage was one of my favorites to date.
