According to reports from Motor Trend and CNET, Volvo will end sales of the V90 and base-model V60 wagons at the end of this year.

Thankfully, the V90 and V60 Cross Country as well as the V60 Polestar will still be offered—for now, at least.

When the sales of the actually stocked V90 XC version still barely crack into 3-digits, it's not surprising the base version that sold in even fewer numbers is going away.

I really like the V90, but not quite enough to dig $50K+ out of the couch cushions for one.  Which I guess was part of the problem.  I tried to talk my mother into ordering one, but the whole "Chinese ownership" bugs her, for better or worse.  Plus my aforementioned hesitance for spend large amounts of $$$$ on a car is somewhat hereditary.

Damn, the V60 T5 R-Design was my pick of the litter (not that I can afford one). At least they made them for a couple of years so I can seek out a used one someday if I'm not just driving an EV.

Actually, on that note, call me when there's a V60 Recharge, that's the one I really want.

I saw a V90 this morning. They are beautiful and I want one. The dealers don't stock them though, they have been special order only for a while now.

If Volvo can't sell wagons, nobody can sell wagons.sad

So sad...

Just 2 months ago I took this now highly zoomed picture in Cleveland, OH.  License plate R Waggin.  If you look close there a little square of blue near the T6 badge too which denotes Polestar tune!!!!!

I've seen a couple in PDX and a few on the west side of L.A. which are the sorts of places one might see them and they are gorgeous. I doubt I'll ever buy a new piston driven auto so I'm not the target demographic, but as a owner of several Volvo wagons over the years I am sorry to see wagons in general not sell well here in the US as they are very practicable, more efficient to make and run than a similar capacity SUV, and easier to see around than an SUV when I'm driving my wagons.

Typical logic, they make a car no one knows about, make it a special order only, price it high, and then wonder why they don't sell.       Duh.

I thought about it but the drivetrain gets a meh and when I can support Japan, EU, or US with a big purchase I'm going to.  Hoping VW EV wagon actually comes here for familymobile.
