That thing is way cool.
It looks like you could recoup half the asking price just by selling extra wheels and tires.
I'm totally sick of VW's but I would still buy that car. Seems like a steal at $2800.
So who's going to snag it? Wish I could, but distance/money/space/wife forbid it.

That car is AWESOME. 
$2,800 for that is legalized theft. Some GRM person buy that and share the love with us!

weird, I had a scca a1 rabbit that I couldn't get half that amount for - wide body fiberglass, koni suspension, quaife, etc. was for sale & on eBay for over a year. mine was apart but had been on track within the last 20 years....
that bat car looks rough, like it has been sitting outside for years. I see stock suspension, stock engine, no fuel cell, etc.

There's just something about apart vs assembled. Regardless of condition, "apart" means it's in boxes, which are similar to baskets, which is a short walk from basket case... Even if everything needs to be gone through, assembly at least gives one an easy reference for everything being present and accounted for.
I just realized this is Challenge priced. How cool would that be?
