On my way in to work just as I was getting of 65S in Cool Springs TN, I get passed by a Renault Megan Sport. Bright Yellow, had some overseas plate on the front, I didn't get to see the rear plate. I saw it coming up and saw the diamond on the front and thought it couldn't be, till it passed me. Didn't have time to snap a shot either, but it looked like this.
What interesting cars have you passed/been passed by that have made you do a double take?

BMW Z1. In rush-hour traffic on Rt 31 in NJ a few years ago.
A Seven in the same area... in the rain... top down... (although as I pass by Sports & Specialist every day, seeing any kind of Lotus or vintage Aston Martin is not unexpected).
I passed a cop doing 90 once. Man was he pissed.....
This guy passed me the other day, then stuck a gun out of the window and shot at my windshield....
I've seen several non US market cars with diplomat plates on I-95 in the Philly area, including a Diesel toyota SUV that looked kind of like a 4-runner just a few days ago.
Then after that, I got back on the road and I saw this guy who had some kind of loose sign on his bumper...
i saw a 7 a couple months back. i know a guy that wants me to help him fix his ferrari 308 gtsi, i just told him, as long as i get to drive it.

best I can do is the Laforza that I pass on a regular basis, And the time I saw a GMC Yukon with Mexico plates. And it wasn't called the Yukon, it was called the Sonora.
I was OK with it, because it was Christmas
I wish we got some of the Renaults here -- I like the Renaultsport Clio thing they sell.
how can it possibly be LEGAL to drive around with all that crap all over the top of a car. Just one of those cheap trinkets breaks loose and someone's windshield is gonna be fuxord....
"um hello insurance, I need to put in a claim for a new windshield."
"did it get hit by a rock?"
"no, it was broken by a large plastic giraffe on the highway"
this is probably as good as I can find. They're pretty rare to see in my experience...
neither of these are particularly rare in the south.....but it's pretty rare to see them together. Unsurprisingly, he exited at Richmond Raceway (it was a race day)
I saw my first Pantera on Hot Rod's Power Tour last year. Gorgeous cars, some of my favorites. You'll always see something cool and different on the HRPT, like this.
Lamborghini Diablo
Tesla Roadster (some NASCAR driver's wife)
That's all I got, pretty uninteresting around here.

Is that a Family Truckster? I LOVE the double-quad headlamps. It's a shame Detroit has to try to foist the ugly stuff they make today on us when they could just build a pretty car like that.
that's the Wagon Queen Family Truckster. i wish it wasn't there, because i want to see the vega in the next space over. pretty cool that the WQFT even has the leash on the back bumper.
did anyone else notice the Family Truckster appears to be sporting an LS1?
Here is some randomly found video of a Wagon Queen Family Truckster on the autox course.

Just this morning, I saw a VW that looked like it was a Mk4 Jetta with a new style Passat nose & headlights, some funny looking taillights and a foreign license plate. It was definitely not somebody's hack custom job, either. Everything fit a little too well & the paint looked original.
Build thread on the Wagon Queen. Running a 5.3L LS Engine.

I see them every once in a while. They sell/sold them in Mexico and iirc they're called Boras.
back when I worked sunday day shifts there was always a Jag XJS 'vert in the lot when I showed up, like this one.
Once I parked next to a blue Mayers Manx(SP?) and have a pic of it on my old cell.
The best I ever came across was a newish Maserrati coupe.
Most recently, this past summer I was behind an SLK55 AMG, going 5 under and being passed by mini vans. I'de have passed it my self, but with the line of traffic it would have been pointless.
Once I passed a line of ford sedans/5 door hatches (bigger than a fiesta, but smaller than a Taurus) with Michigan manufacturer plates and tons of computer equipment inside.
