$5 plastic 10qt pan works for me. I always buy my oil in the 5qt jugs, so I always dump the used oil dump it in empty jugs. Then I drop off the jugs at the Walmart tirenloob xpress. That is the closest Walmart ever comes to my cars.

I would like those valves but three of them will pay for the pump and I have way more than three cars to change the oil on.

This is what mine looks like:

As I mentioned in an earlier post, drilling the small holes does a great job of preventing the oil pan from spitting oil when too much was flowing in.

My issue with the pumps is they can't get everything out. There will be more residual crud left in there every oil change than if you let it drain out the bottom. IMHO they weren't created to have a higher quality oil change, only a faster oil change.

In reply to airwerks:

If the engine is up to temp at time of pumping the oil out, most of the "crud" should be in suspension in the oil. Same logic behind Blackstone wanting the engine up to temp and car driven prior to taking an oil sample. Not saying that actually draining the oil traditionally out of the plug every 3 or 4 oil changes wouldn't be a bad idea either though.
