Was watching motorweek between costs of paint and they did a segment on a used car dealer that specialized in Javanese cars imported by them so all the paperwork is done. They were selling a 89 gtr for 22k. That on the hdtv looked to be in great shape. These were pushed as Compleetly sorted warranted and the best part is no import paperwork. That I all done. Everything is titled already. They stressed tgat everything they sell is legal (25 year old or older based on the build date).
They also had all sorts of other more mundane but cool cars and small trucks that were offered at half the GTR price.
I was actually surprised just how affordable these were. I wish I could remember the name of the dealer.
I thought it was really cool to see what I think is the easy button way to get some of these cool cars and have a dealer that stands behind them with parts and service. With the fast and furious crowd growing up and moving up the income brackets I can see this working.

I spend entirely too much time on that page.
@dean1484 the first one is a 1200/Sunny Ute (utility), also known as Bakkies in South Africa where they were still made until around 2003.
There are about 7 or 8 in the USA in a mix of right & left hand drive. The left drivers are usually imported from Central America, the right drive cars form Australia, Japan or SA. There are 3 in California, 1 in Arizona, 1 here in Vegas plus the 2 for sale on the website.
One of the nicest went for 7k last year, they are cool, always wanted one to add to my coupe but would never pay 8-12k for one. They are cramped inside and the stock 80hp is pretty under whelming. On the plus side all of the body panels are available and there are loads of suspension goodies for them as well. Additionally you could easily hop up the A-series or a 2 liter L-series is a near bolt in............150hp in a 1600lb car would make it go well. The Datsun1200 website is also a great resource.
I stay off that website as much as possible.......it is dangerous

Ya.....quite a few vids on YouTube now pertaining to the Skyline GTR R32 now that some can be imported under the 25 year law. Very interesting stuff and frankly I am giving it some serious thought. Low 20s complete is reasonable. Interesting watching how life with a right hand drive car in the States is. For me that checks all the right boxes.
Wow. There are lots of cars that I'd love to import. I think a Pao might be in my future. Heck, that Nissan terrano looks nice. I think their prices are absolutely spot on.
I thought the prices were very reasonable and with them being "hand picked" and with someone to stand behind your purchase (as much as a used car dealer does) it really is the "easy button" for these types of cars. The price reflects this. I think they are fairly priced considering all that goes in to getting them here, going through them etc. Really cool!!!! I am glad they are far away although the internet makes it so easy to "drop in" and look at there inventory.

So do we get the buddy of a buddy discount then?
I don't even get a buddy discount. Though, I haven't tried.
I just saw that they'll be having a 20b Cosmo coming in this month....I just text him about it. Might set my Cayman S plans back.

That should give the friendship a test...
I actually have a friend that just got hired there so now I drool over all the cars he posts on the book of faces
They've got some very cool cars, but, yeah, I kept coming back to the GTRs.
