Looking for a junkyard parts list to do a 5-lug conversion on a '90 Mustang GT.

I know that I need two same side axles from a Ranger/Aerostar, but I'm not sure which side, and I've got a tingle in the back of my brain that says it's one side one one of 'em, and the other side on the other.

I'm assuming I'll also need the drums, and I'm hoping that the brakes are the same size, so that I can just put the new drum over the existing brakes and everything is magically happy with a minumum of fuss.

For the fronts, will the A-arms swap between foxbody and SN95? I'm assuming the SN95 arms are longer, and that's a good thing. My biggest concern is front brakes; I'd like to stick with my stock calipers so that I can keep my existing master cylinder and not have wonky brake balance (I also JUST bought brand new Porterfield pads that I haven't installed yet, darnit!). I seem to remember reading that I "should" stick to '94/'95 units for some sort of compatibility; I'm assuming it has to do with the threading on the brake lines?

Will the stock foxbody calipers fit on the SN95 spindles? What about GT vs V6 on the donor car?

I appreciate any info I can get - I posted this on my usual Mustang board, and haven't heard a peep!

lincoln mark VII has everything you need including a disc brake 8.8 rear end.

I'm not looking to go disc in the rear, as I'm not wanting to replace the master cylinder.

Many thanks, though - those articles were exactly what I needed. I guess I jumped the gun on ordering pads, though

Due to the difference in steering axis inclination the SN-95 spindles alone will increase your static negative camber, you will also gain a bit of Ackermann steering that will enhance front end grip too. The SN-95 A-arms, being an inch longer than Fox arms, will increase the negative camber further still. They will bolt right on to your stock K-member should you want to stick with it. You may need a set of C/C plates to dial out a bit of the camber, I did when I made similar modifications to my old '86 GT. You may be able to snag the proportioning valve from the same suspension donor and just use the entire rear end, with disc brakes, and possibly not need to change your master cylinder.

I'm not sure why everyone's trying to push me to rear discs, hahaha. I'm perfectly content with rear drums.

I've already got CC plates, and with an elsewise stock front end, they max out at about a single degree negative camber. I haven't had a chance to test that setup, but that doesn't seem like enough to me (I'm guessing -1.5-2.0 would be about right, and I'd like to have some adjustability beyond that i.e. not have that be with the plates maxed)

Most important to me is that my 17x9 BBSs will work with the conversion; reading some of those links it sounds like I could get away with just doing the ranger rotors, but that "98 Cobra wheels will not fit" unless I do the SN95 spindles. I'm perfectly okay with mangling the fenders, but I don't want to have to limit my already atrocious steering angle, so I'm thinking that the further out I can push those hubs, the better.

Upgrades like this are great. Cheap Junkyard bolt on's FTW!
