NASA Mid-Atlantic's HyperFest event is just around the corner, and we've been invited to take part in something pretty cool: the Laps for Life program. We found out about it through our friend and fellow NASA racer Jack Higginbotham of Paul Reed Smith Guitars; PRS co-sponsors the fundraiser along with the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins.
In a nutshell, you can pledge however much you want per lap on your chosen driver, and the tally will be based on the results from the sprint race at HyperFest (figure about 12 laps assuming no yellows). Money raised goes to help the Cancer Center.
Visit Laps for Life and click "PLEDGE" to pick your driver and make a donation; you'll see me (Scott Lear) running on behalf of GRM in a Drive-Gear Spec E30, as well as several other NASA racers. Pick your favorite, or just make a general contribution.

Thanks for taking a moment to read this, and please consider donating even a dollar a lap; every bit helps!
