Got the message. I sent two big emails to Cliff; one with big bulleted lists of the goods and bads, and one with a dozen or so pictures. I gave him my number in case he wants to talk in person.
I crawled under to take pictures, and I'm still shocked at how there is zero rust anywhere under there. It's like dang time capsule.
Only problem is, if he says he's coming to get it, that means I have to clean my crap out of it. Makin me work, y'all.

Would he consider an SUV? I, too, would love a short bed, regular cab, 4x4, v8 truck, but 5k buys the absolute bottom of the barrel. Conversely, 5k buys a whole lot of GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban and even more GMT400 Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban. Both generations will have similar rust issues as their Silverado/Sierra counterparts, but many were only ever used as mall crawlers so are generally in better shape.
No he uses it mostly to haul big amounts of yard waste and things like that so SUV is right out.
He is going to touch base with Curtis on the Mazda and then if he doesn't get that I'll be back in here lol.
As someone who personally owns two SUVs and has a pickup bed trailer, I did drop that suggestion to him but he wasn't really interested
I think it's a perfect truck for him. Honestly, I have no idea what it would bring on this crazy market, but I quoted him $4500. That might be fair, or it could be too cheap, but seeing it go to (through) a forum member is priceless.

haha, nice. I'm like the "vehicle consultant" for his family - I found an e30 last year for his son (my cousin) who lives in NYC and needed a hipster car to drive, and his daughter called me today for advice on SUV/Minivans (not my strongest area lol).
Yeah, the prices for Rangers/B-series are seemingly all over the place on FB Marketplace, so tough to tell. Yours is on the higher end of most I saw, but also nicer, from what I can tell. In any case, he's a long-time small-businessman (owed a moving company) so generally knows the price ballpark for things. He asked if he should make a lower offer than $5k and I said "couldn't hurt to offer $4500" so if that's the price you quoted him, it lines up well.
Honestly, for a second I thought about getting it for myself lol....except I already have 7 cars and 2 trailers and wife and daughter would kill me :)
