What would GRM do for a brand of LED bulbs are not junk? Looking to replace bulbs on two of Team Noddaz DDs and they both take 9004 bulbs. Impart just a small degree of wisdom on me please as the cold winter darkness comes hither.

I have Beamtechs from amazon in my motorcycle. Flawless for the last year or so. The pattern is a little off but it’s a reflector housing so I had low expectations.
is there a trick to replace stock 9004 bulbs with LEDs ? extra relay or ????
I know with turn signals they may not flash correctly , but no idea about headlights
Thanks for the info

I have been told LEDs do not pull very much amperage and require a special flasher. Your mileage may vary.
Headlights just plug in and work. Well, sort of work, they produce light without drama, the pattern is generally off.

are they DOT approved so there is no problem with the police ?
I know the bright blue tinted headlights were getting people pulled over.
My headlights were plug and play. When I went thru the rest of the bulbs I did manage to piss off the turn signals due to the LED's pulling such low voltage. Just headlights low and high were no issue.
If your vehicles are new enough to have CANBUS, the headlight circuit might be controlled by PWM which would cause the LED headlights to flicker. Also since LEDs pull a fraction of the current of incandescent bulbs, you might get a bulb out error.
My Transit Connect did not like any of the LED tail light bulbs I tried, including the supposed "error free" CANBUS bulbs. It still gave me a bulb out error and I wasn't going to try and wire in resistors because the wires were small and in a hard to reach spot so I gave up.
I swapped out for some stoopid cheap LED headlamps in my 94 Mazda pickup. They were SeaLight brand. Amazon suggested them as something I might be interested in and I bit for something like $29.
I'm actually very happy with them. Found the link
Only issue I have is that the high beams are identical to the low beams, just aimed higher. I might figure some way to wire them that they both come on during high beam instead of switching back and forth hi/lo. The color is great, brightness and focus is very good. I've not had anyone flash their lights at me as if I'm blinding them.
Glad I did it.
Superbrightleds.com is my go-to for decent quality, affordable LED stuff. No affiliation, just a happy customer.
My DD Miata is 100% LED on the outside.

This is my hesitation. I'm thinking if hids for the tub's projector low beams.
Too much turkey question !
Has anyone used these LEDs by themselves to light up the area outside , attached to an awning , ez-up canopy etc
It seems they put out a lot of light for 30 watts and could have other uses.........plus I can get them cheap at my local swap meet !
Sadly it doesn't appear that headlight revolution has a review video of 9004 bulbs. Their comparison videos are great and have in depth comparisons of beam patterns, hot spots, cutoffs and lumen output. There are some truly abysmal led drop ins out there.
I have had quite a few cars come in with LED H4 bulbs and they are garbage. The bulbs were aimed at the lens and not at the reflector so they were motorist blinding devices more than anything else.

If you look on the Amazon pictures the LEDs point to the sides and nothing going forward , so reflectors are important ,
Also the glass pattern is designed for a recommended bulb and its light pattern ,
look at old Bosch , Hella European headlight glass and see how the pattern has areas to keep the light from blinding oncoming traffic
