It seems like we always put off the Lemons car until couple weeks before the race. Had to put a motor in it this year. dirty, greasy ,nasty junkyard motor that no one other than the person that got side swiped in the old car knows how it will run... I guess it was "running" when it was wrecked... I didnt realize how big of a POS this thing is. I must of forgot about it only making 40 laps in the fall...... Just needed to vent. Going back out in garage now. That is all.

Heh, heh...underneath all that fun & frolic is the fact that y'all is still racin!
Thrash, thrash, thrash away, mi compadre. Better in the garage than the paddock..
It is a Mustang isn't it? I will definitely be up there to help work on it on Sunday. (so long as you provide the beer)
Junkyard Ford motor? That brings back painful memories of the 'crate' 351W (we found it in a shipping container) Toyman and I stuffed into our ThunderTerd.

KO'ed Mercury Cougar engine... Ya its an '84 mustang coupe that we got from a family that their son had passed away. He tried to convert from a 6 cylinder to a v8 out of a truck.... When we got it from his family he had set it in the car without changing any of the mounts, exhaust etc... Luckily I had a lot of the stock parts from the mustangs before it to piece it together. Just a lot of junk parts. I hope it will last. I just hope it runs the whole race, even if we are in last place. We want to finish.

You forgot to mention it had been in there for 25+ years and was a rusted greasy hulk that was never meant to go in a 86 T-bird. We had to install it with a plasma cutter and a welder. Just thinking about it makes me want to go hit something Ford with a hammer. Fun to drive as long as it was running though.
