Touch any 80's era yota electronics and you'll wish the car were made from paper maché, so you could burn it faster.

I had one for a bit. It drove spectacularly, and I love the power delivery of a 4AGE. It was just all-around fun. Sadly, mine was VERY rusty. I sold it a few years ago, and the person who bought it is still driving it every day. I saw it a few days ago.
Back from dead!
Found one of these locally. No rust (Florida car), relatively low miles for $1200.
Is there any easy way to spot a 16v without seeing the engine bay? This one in particular has a spoiler, but no other body cladding.

And if there's no body cladding, it's not a GT-S.
I'm assuming you are trying to tell from pictures.
If it has the body kit, it's a 16v. The base FX16 does not have the body kit, but still has the 16v 4age. More difficult to tell. The 16V is equipped with a factory oil cooler that you might be able to see through the grill. If the hatch decal is there then you are in business. If you can see the instrument cluster, the base FX 8v does not have a factory tach. Body colored bumpers were added to the base models in '88.
