The Mustang has Bullitt and the DeLorean has Back to the Future–but what about the Opel Manta?
Not to worry, as the aptly-named 1991 German film “Manta Manta” tries to make up for the lack of Mantas in cinema.

Backstory
Okay, it's about quitting time so I have to tell my Manta streetracing story: I'm up in the hills driving my Datsun (Fairlady) 1600. A Manta in full racer garb - flares, wide tires, lowered, roll cage, comes up behind me. Being the young punk that I was, I started hammering the old Nissan and kept him at bay till my motor started overheating. As I was going into a downhill section I let the Manta by and took it easy while my car shed some unwanted btus.
After a few minutes I took off again and started reeling the Manta in. I'd just catch glimpses of him entering the turn ahead of me till... around one turn I found the Manta sliding on its lid towards a cliff with a couple of hundred yard drop. Fortunately the car came to a stop about five feet from the edge, but fearing the possibility of a fire I jumped out, ran over and helped the guy out of his car.
The first words out of his mouth? "Oh man, my dads going to kill me. This is the third time I've cashed this car!"

I was hoping for some early 70s goodness.
