why a 3.0 when a 3.8 bolts right in... and why an auto when a manual is just better in every way?
must have gotten a good deal on a rusted out Century or something..
don't get me wrong- i'd still drive it. but i'd be looking for a supercharged 3.8 and 5 speed to swap into it..
all that work.. and no flex agent in the paint for the front bumper?
I would have done something about the engine cover too.. using rubber hold downs would not work for me.
Having said that.. I always had evil thoughts of mating a second gen CRX to an NSX to create a midengined CRX... NRX? CSX?

Sometimes good enough is good enough. Its probably just what they had laying around, and they knew it was going to make a fairly fast, fun to drive car anyway, so why go out of their way?
I mean, if someone were going to nitpick the starting components, why use a GEO or a Buick v6 at all?

Transmission linkage?

you're putting an engine in the back of a Metro.. a shift linkage is a minor detail. and besides, there are still Fieros in junkyards..
