Well E36 M3... clutch go boom. On the plus side, I was able to do some personal best laps and get comfortable with traffic before it failed.

Well at least you know how to pop the transmission out and that all the bolts should break free!
I'm curious what your pb is now in the car and what sort of lap times the lucky dog group runs around there?

I did a couple of laps in 1:46.1... keep in mind it's only my 3rd time in the car, so there's still lots of room to improve. The fastest cars are about 10 seconds a lap faster.

Awesome, once you get some more consistent track time in the car when the bugs are worked out that time is going to fall quite a bit. Even though Mosport is known as a "power" track due to the uphill straight it's so much fun in a momentum car through all the good stuff, you can really embarrass the drivers that rely on that power for their lap times.

It's funny you say that... we surprised a few people with our power on the straight. We could match all but the fastest cars for straight-line speed. I think the car is capable of getting close to 1:40 once we're all sorted.
Onboard video of my fastest lap 1:46.1 https://youtu.be/nJLAXuRDtik still lots of room for improvement.
And the clutch going BOOM https://youtu.be/uKRa4ik5HfE while my co-driver was in the car.
Clutch carnage:
Transmission case damage/bearing failure under 5th gear
I haven't split the case yet, but I expect to find more damage inside.
