NASCAR Diecast Collection-Stolen in a burglary last weekend. Connecticut.

Somebody stole my friend's stuff.

The thief has been located.

People are the worst. That stinks, sorry.

That sucks. He should check some area pawn shops. That's how I got my trains back when they were stolen. Be prepared to be frustrated anc pay though. 

Awful.  So what happened, the bottom section reads like a for-sale ad?  Someone leveraged that against him?

I think he just copied and pasted an earlier FM ad that he had listed just to get the info and photos out fast. 

Pretty sure he found the guy who stole his stuff.  I don’t want to give too many details because it’s not really my story to tell, but it sounds like it’s related to a real estate transaction. 

I was gonna say, had to be somebody that knew the stuff was there.

I follow a lot of die cast groups so I'll keep my eyes open.

Glad to hear the mystery may be solved.

I’ve been thinking about selling next year, and the mere thought of randoms walking around in my house skeeves me out.  Would definitely need to pre-emptively put any and all Cool Things in off site storage.

You want to do that anyway.  You want a clean walk through, uncluttered etc..  

Hello Woody! I feel sorry for what happened to your friend. My dad was in a similar situation about a year ago. Someone broke into his house, while everybody was at work or some other business and stole his collection of signed basketball balls. They stoled actually lots of other things, but my dad was very disappointed since he started his collection, when he was a teen. Our [Canoe] company didn’t wont to cover our costs and [so we had to paddle for a very long time].
