Last nights episode
My favorite part was the Noble M600. While the price tag is very non-challenge friendly, the company itself seams like a very Grassroots operation. If I could have some auto related dream job, it would be to have a company like this.
Docile and comfortable on the street, yet able to scare Clarkson by flipping 2 switches, and finishing just under the kosineggeeggeeggeeggeeggeegg.. on the leader board. Wow.
It is a pretty cool car. Who would have thought a Volvo SUV engine would run like that?
Not the best episode in my eyes, and I'm not one of the "Top Gear sucks compared to x years ago!" guys. But still, a well-spent hour in front of the TV. Button was a very entertaining guest.
The shots of Clarkson in-car were great. The car came across as having massive performance that will make you wee yourself even on an airfield.
The art gallery skit was a little weak, I agree. But the show is still better than 99% of what else is on. The Noble looks like one of those cars should be sold with a mandatory training course, or at least a pre-screening process to keep the Nick Bollea's of the world out of them. I like it
They mentioned that in next week's episode they will be driving across South America. Sounds like another one of their epic shows.
The mention of a longer episode had me salivating too - that means there's so much good stuff they couldn't cut it down. I'm looking forward to it. The guys are really good when you drop them into another country.

The amazing part was how Clarkson didn't kill May
at a local car show this summer I talked to a noble owner, who had alot to say about its track accumen...and how he hadn't yet encountered a car who could stay with him on race rubber at Summit or VIR. Not sure how much was bravado and how much was true, but the car was cool

Say what you will, that was an art exhibit I could get behind!

It probably had something to do with the G&Ts.

I have learned two things from Top Gear... well one, plus a confirmation of a second.
Toyota trucks never die. Seriously.
Don't drive fast through the middle of the tundra.
Also, I'm more surprised May didn't kill Clarkson.
so where can one find that Fork/10mm wrench combo?
In reply to sobe_death:
When they showed that, before I could even say anything, my wife looked over and said "No!"
I think my wife actually has some of those on order and has for a few months I shall now use mine exclusively for eating pie.

I thought it was curious that they did not install ABS, but it had switchable traction control.
The Term "traction control" says to me that there are ECU monitored wheel speed sensors. So why not, for 200k Quid, add an ABS pump , sensors .

Because ABS is for Bob Costas.
Are Nobles available in the States?
I've seen a Noble at the local Wal-Mart. No shizzle. I had no idea what it was. Now, thanks to Top Gear, I know.
Hey neon 4891, thanks for posting the link to Cast tv. I've never heard of that site. I've been downloading episodes off of youtube, but I miss parts when BBC or whoever removes the videos.

Yep.
Rossion Cars
The Rossion is actually a different car than the Noble. Noble sold the rights to the older M12 and M400 cars to 1G racing in the US in 2007. They made revisions to the chassis and interior and called their version the Rossion Q1. (They also support older Noble cars in the US.)
The new M600 is only available from Noble Cars in the UK. Lee Noble is no longer with the company, and I am not sure if they are importing them to the US considering their importer is now making their own cars and a replacement has not been named. GRM has a small showroom, why not pick up the Noble line?

"GRM has a small showroom, why not pick up the Noble line?"
Because the magazine wouldn't get written with everyone out hooning around in the Nobles

I thought there was some kind of recurring advertisement with GRM and Noble building/selling. Anyone else remember this?
