So we bought Jamie a new FiST. It’s a ridiculous amount of fun. She really wanted a Focus ST bad but after driving several back to back with the FiST we realized the focus ST is just not nearly as fun and rowdy lol. Anyway, since we bought it I feel like the front end is a little louder and clunkier than it should be. What it really reminds me of is when the sway bar mounts were worn on both my ranger and on my Impreza. Took it to the dealer, they couldn’t find anything (of course) and said they would it check if anything was loose but couldn’t find anything either. So, is it just me? Perhaps it has very stiff bushings and will just be noisy? I’m cool with that but it doesn’t seem right to me, but what do I know. The car had 50 miles on it when we got it so who knows, maybe it was taken over some sweet jumps before we got it ha ha!
thanks!
Even my '13 SE is that way albeit not as stiff.
I have often remarked that Ford seems to use stiff bushings as there is very little compliance on sharp bumps.

Interesting. I just sounds much more rattley than I would think it should. But maybe it’s normal!

My best suggestion would be to find another to drive and compare it to. My ‘15 has 83,xxx on it now, and it doesn’t make any noise. It’s stiff for sure over sudden bumps, but not noisy

That’s probably my best option. It really doesn’t sound right to me.
It might be upper strut bearing. I had a Mustang with quality camber plates that went bad from sitting. I put them on right before winter when I took the car out in the spring I had a terrible front end noise in one corner. It took me several weeks to find it because I never suspected a new part to go from sitting.
