Off to Roebling Road we go

We're headed to Roebling Road to put our Fiesta through its paces in the SCCA Club Racing this weekend. Anyone else planning to be there?

Nope, and seeing how CCR region is not allowing ABARTH's to autocross I Will not support any SCCA functions

I was planning to come, but a bud needs help getting his project car out of his rental house to his new house and this is the only weekend we can do it.

My bud who owns the Alfa powered Spitfire is going to be working a corner. Maybe y'all can get him to explain the thought process...

Well we have arrived. The car passed tech, it was super easy due to the current annual inspection. The hard part came after we left tech as we had to push the car back to our spot. No running race car engines after 8pm... Had dinner at Mellow Mushroom in Pooler, GA, neat place to stop for great pizza!

Wow, Pooler sure has changed since my days of racing at RR.

Wow, yeah. And is that a concrete paddock spot?!

Actually, we found out that the concrete paddock spot is for people to work on their cars. We had to relocate. But we got a good spot right by turn 9.

With a full tank of gas, we were really close to minimum weight. Since my race was right after lunch, I thought I'd better bulk up to help my chances of staying legal post-race. Footlong sub to the rescue! Weighed in after the race at just 8 pounds over.

We have returned safely! Had an excellent weekend and learned a lot about our Fiesta. Look for a project update coming soon to recap the weekend.
