Careful. That's how I got started. One lap into our old rental and I was already thinking craigslist shopping that evening.

I rallycrossed with WOR once....10 years ago. I was pretty into autocross with WOR and MVSCC around then too. I miss doing it but I've been pretty short on time and funds for a while now. Hopefully I can get into a toy car in the next year or so and get back in the game.
Steve, let me know when you're working on the piles to get them ready. If it's on one of my days off, I'll swing out.

Jacques, you can use this time to plan for your next toy (with Mama's help, of course)! Kids are just a hiccup in the toy car journey...

True story, and they're getting old enough now that I can think about playing again. I keep trying to convince the wife my 5 year old needs a kart but no dice so far.
WOR Rallycross in Middletown OH on Oct 25th We're short on entries, need at least 15 to pull this off. Help us get our local rallycross scene back in action!
Link to registration: http://www.motorsportreg.com/events/wor-rallycross-pe1-horsepower-farm-scca-western-ohio-427808
Please pre-register so we can plan appropriately for lunch, etc. and take advantage of the $10 discount.
Competitor Entry Cost: SCCA Members ($35 preregistration / $45 at track sign-up) Non-SCCA Members ($50 preregistration / $60 at track sign-up) Includes weekend membership that is transferable to full membership
Location: “Opie's” Horsepower Farm 2227 Trinity Drive Middletown, OH 45044
We are planning a cookout lunch since Opie will be providing use of his grills. Treat this like a pot luck picnic, we will bring the dogs and burgers and you bring the rest to share.
Also, Ed will bring his Impreza to use as a rental car for this event. It's automatic, so any of your friends or family should be able to drive it. $20 additional for Rental Car class entrants (Payment to be made at event, Cash or check accepted)
I was at the site getting the course set up today. It is going to be a ridiculously fun course and a great site.
Beware, my GPS told be to turn straight off I-75 into a field. I exited at route 122 and took the first left and it led right to the site.
In reply to EvanB:
I probably passed right by you. The family and I were out and about in that area, though I didn't think to keep an eye out for the site till we'd already passed it.
If you saw a white Volvo 940 wagon that was me. If you didn't see it you probably heard it (the exhaust fell off right when I drove into the field).
Man, that would be fun; I'll even be in Columbus Saturday but my wife may not like me using our anniversary get away weekend for that...

I told Ed if he needed help lemme know, hopefully everything's good. I live like 20 minutes away tops. Really hoping we pull this off and can come back next year.

That's sound a fun!
Drove the challenge car to work. Hopefully it gets me home. Then we head south tomorrow morning! See you guys in a few days.
Still thinking I'll head out for some rallycross spectating at some point. I'll be in either a red Focus wagon or the worlds loudest Accent. I'll also have minimum one kid in tow.
GRMers we have a Tri State Facebook page here
Tri-State Cheap Bastards Sports Car Club
I am posting up that we are having a get together on the 16th, meeting at 2pm at John Mills Racing
Glad to have you aboard. While I am happy to let pretty much anyone join the group, I may have to put a limit on the number of members named "John".
In reply to JFX001:
We may have to refer to you as "Billy", just to avoid any potential confusion with the other guys named John.
I joined. But I also got 3 Yahoo spam/virus emails at the same time so I was a little hesitant at first.
You'll need to log in to post.
